Focus Mixer

How to Use

Focus Mixer combines a Pomodoro timer with 12 ambient sound tracks to help you concentrate. This guide covers everything from basic controls to advanced techniques, step by step.

Basic Usage

1

Choose Your Sounds

Click any sound button in the central sound panel to start playing it. A highlighted button means the sound is active. Turn on multiple sounds at once to create your own unique audio environment.

💡 Start with Rain or White Noise — they work well for most focus sessions.
2

Adjust the Volume

Use the slider under each sound button to set its individual volume. When layering multiple sounds, balancing the levels creates a natural, cohesive soundscape. The master volume slider adjusts all sounds at once.

💡 Try setting the primary sound (e.g. Rain) to 70% and a secondary sound (e.g. White Noise) to 30% for a good balance.
3

Start the Timer

Click the "Start" button in the timer panel to begin a 25-minute countdown. You can customize the focus duration in the settings (⚙️ icon). When the timer reaches zero, a notification sound plays and prompts you to take a break.

4

Switch to Break Mode

After the timer ends, switch to the 5-minute break timer. Ambient sounds continue playing during your break. If you want a change of mood, try switching to a different sound set.

💡 Gentle sounds like Birds or Bell are great for helping you unwind during breaks.
5

Save a Preset

Save your favorite sound combinations as a preset. Press the "Save" button and your current settings will be stored in your browser. Next time, load them back in a single click.
